This project addresses the rising need of fast, cost-effective, scalable and accurate biodiversity monitoring. The extinction of species and taxonomists is quickly advancing, and traditional methods cannot be effectively implemented anymore. We are working on the combined use of machine learning to extract morphology of a community combined with eDNA metabarcoding to assess ecosystem services directly from the community without inference and uncertainty.
